SCMR again & #1 of 25 motif challenge

I had to do another snowflake because it was easy, because I love the SCMR, because I wanted to see it with beads, because I wanted to see it with different thread but most of all JUST BECAUSE I WANTED TOO lol

I guess I can count this as my #1 for the 25 motif challenge of 2010

Done with size 20 thread (i think) and seed beads in each picot
Hubby loves this one and I do too

Go through your books
pick one without looking and open it to a page also without looking
I grabbed Jon Yusoff's Tatted Snowflakes

Turned to #8 Floret

I needed these

I have never done SCMR

I DID IT, I DID IT

WOOO HOOOO

It turned out good and I plan on doing more SCMR I stayed away from it but it appeared very hard to me but it was really easy

As you see Ned was all too comfy while I was tatting all curled up with me keeping warm. He didnt even mind me turning him into a pretty dog lol

1 ringy dingy, 2 ringy dingy and a Celtic Shamrock

lol I may be a bit young but remember lilly tomlin on Laugh in... My mom always loved it, Tiny Tim cracked me up with his TIP TOE THROUGH THE TULIPS :)

Anywhoo lets get to the point of this post :)

Remember Jons tutorial on wrapping a ring with tatting with the needle. I tried it and it worked I love it...

I started one and ran out of thread :( but got bored with it and decided to try a smaller ring its in Mulberry size 30 thread and 1/2" ring my daughter already claimed it she wants me to make the other one to match for earrings... Its not perfect but its my 1st try...

I did a custom dyed thread for a customer she wanted an irish thread with greens golds and black its called Ruth's Irish... I had to tat a shamrock for it, I just had to. I tatted Ruths Celtic Shamrock its not the same lady though. Once I get her seal of approval on the colors it will be made available...

Wrap Stitching around a ring with the NEEDLE

I LOVE JON!! Dont you all too :) She is such a fun lady super nice and SUPER DUPER smart. I been wandering about wrapping the rings as well. I do shuttle tat but prefer the needle because its what I taught myself with I guess its just more comfortable...

Jon has a tutuorial on how to do this with the needle and it didnt take me long to get it last night It was easy and fun!! I am not done but I did get it started She asked that someone test it and I did :)

Let me tell you about my day...

Woke up at 7 and was dead to the world or atleast I felt that way LOL Dave and I stayed up too late last night watching Gran Torino with Clint Eastwood it was an AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME movie, I was saddened at the end but I am a big sap LOL

So I was tired and kinda grumpy and so was Dave we kind of snapped at each other a bit this morning but we kissed and made up as always :) He went to burn the trash and some things outside by now its 9ish am I thought pee on everything else today I was gonna sit outside and tat, well it was wonderful, The kids Dave and I chased the shade around the yard all day it was WONDERFUL, I cant tell you the last time I felt so good in a day. I designed a few things and just enjoyed myself and my family. Dave and the kids went to check the mail and he told me you got something. I didnt remember ordering anything except yesterday I did order sequins but there was NO WAY AT ALL I could have gotten them already. Here I got a nice package from JON Ohh how I love her :) She won some thread from my give away I had in May and she sent me these lovelies in the mail today THANK YOU JON from the bottom of my heart I cant reacall ever getting anything like this from anyone ohhh wait Sherry sent me a couple free skeins of her beautiful HDT so I guess its the 2nd time LOL :)

THANKS JON AGAIN you are a sweet sweet woman!!
