Lady Tat's Three's Snowflake...

is a beautiful and dainty little snowflake that I decided last night to make....CLICK HERE for the pattern.  Well 1st try failed becuse I misread the directions DUH!! 2nd try seemed to be going well but I was and still am under the weather and tired as heck. When I assessed it this morning it just didnt look right so I sat it aside and did a few other things. Went back to it and here I added an extra picot on a few of the center rings DOUBLE DUH! So I finished it while it looked goofy I was a bit determined to make one NORMALLY now I really dont know what qualifies as normal tatting, who really knows. BUT the purpleish and white was the screw up done in size 20. The aqua and beige-ish color is done in size 10 even at size 10 this dainty little snowflake measures approx 2". The size 10 thread was a 'tie dye' test I had done and seriously is beige-ish really a word... LOL
I think I am gonna drag my butt in for a shower hopefully it makes me feel a little better and wakes me up, my son has his psych appointment this afternoon its not that far of a drive but I dont really feel like driving he needs to go though. I am seriously thinking McDonalds for supper. I hope I can have more tatting to show soon.
Have a good day all

#17 for the 25 motif challenge

This one I really LOVE I came up with it last night and finished it tonight when my sons behavior councellor was here it gave me about 2 hours of peace so I tatted :) I used a size 30 thread. 2 shuttles and the beads go on the core thread. The # of beads depends on how long you want this I tried to make a bracelet but its too big for that and too small for a necklace. So its just a sample piece. the pattern is there too attached I hope you can see it that is if you want to make
it you would probably see it better if you clicked on it for the larger view and saved it to your computer that way. I dont know if this would qualify as celtic??? I just assumed that if its twisted its celtic, can anyone clarify this for me??? Anywhoo enjoy if you want I really love this design and bear in mind also as a needle tatter for years my patterns are written as needle so usually where you see RW you may need to use the shoe lace trick...

#12, #13, #14, #15, #16 for the 25 motif challenge

The top 2 are the large and small mushroom done partially in the original design the bottom 2 are the changed one. The top had larger picots which to me just didnt sit right. the bery bottom one was done in size 30 thread with beads and I am not sure that I like it with all those beads on it but its done and my daughter wants it as a pendant so its hers lol I decided to go back in time to a design that I had done way back in January of 2005. I did find some mistakes in my pattern and changed a few things which the new one will be posted here now

#6 and #7 of the 25 motif challenge

well #6 is a flower (i guess) lol I was messing around using thread on shuttles when I created it no pattern really. and #7 is well something I seen in a book as an edging its done off the ball you dont close the rings completely it was a bit of a pain doing this because the partial rings kept wanting to flip around on me but its a neat star or a weird flower LOL

That something awesome I spoke of....

That something awesome did turn out pretty awesome. Yes awesome is my word of the day, dunno why but it just is. I got my pressure cooker, cooking roast and it smells awesome too LOL

OK alot of my images on here and stuff I love to mess with PSP 7 (paint shop pro 7) years ago i had gotten a copy and was severely addicted this was before I learned to tat of course so its been a "few" years... Ok on to what I am speaking of... I love to kaleidascope images and one day messing about I had an image of tatting up and thought ehhhh what the heck, and you will not beleive HOW MANY ideas i got from just doing that with 1 photo. Well here is one of them.

I used my new HDT HARVEST TIME in size 20 when I dyed this thread I wasnt that impressed with it until I tatted with it I think it is just AWESOME hee hee

I plan on making more of this design and maybe putting them together for a doily or something else. this is my #1 motif of the 25 motif challenge (part 3)

Hope you all have an awesome day! Yep I am goofy now you all are starting to see this arent you HA HA

25 motif challenge #10, #11

#10 is another pair of sequin earrings i see I put one backwards on the scanner LOL guess that is what you get when scanning while tired tee hee ;)

#11 is a pair of dragon earrings or necklace pendants not sure which yet but this was inspirted by the Ring Trim dragon I cant do the SSSR so I decided to make up my own pattern I didnt copy the pattern but just looked and made my own which I guess is copying in its own way. LOL But the 1st one didnt turn out so well and the 2nd one still needed work and the last 2 there were the final result that I am happy with...
~~~
Shannan is doing good today and healing I just got to get her to settle down she is to be on 2 weeks of taking it easy and here we are only 3 days after surgery and she is trying to run around and she talks too much by the end of the evening her voice is so weak it kind of breaks my heart hearing her sound like that. I cant wait until she is all well I am just glad the worst is over!!
I planned on making her these before she went to get her adenoids and tonsils out but didnt get there
I think she makes the earrings look prettier :)
I made them with size 20 thread and some leaf sequins I got years ago Somewhere LOL
She loves them and I think I will be making some to sell they are simple and of course one of my crazy designs LOL
25 Motif Challenge #14
Here is a necklace that I have been working on for awhile. I finally put myself on tat duty today LOL I forced myself to finish it. Allthough still not in much of a mood for anything its making me feel a bit better. I am starting to get a sore throat again, it sucks! I swear my immune system is tragically broken right now all this stress and crap isnt helping it along either UGH!!
Ok on to the tatting
This may be for a friend I am still not sure yet or my daughter will get it.
I really didnt write the pattern out too well maybe I will add it within a few days
